When Everything Changes

What do you do when everything changes? What do you do when life as you know it falls apart?

-Lean on God

-Be obedient

-Listen

-Let go of the worry and find solace knowing God is in control

Is it easy? NO. Is it a tremendous struggle? YES. Do I go back and forth in my head? YES. But is it worth it? 1,000% for sure.

It's hard to realize that I was in a place where I felt dampened. I felt like I was walking on eggshells with no purpose. Who am I? I'm still figuring out the answer to that question. The process is messy, chaotic, exhausting, but somehow beautiful at the same time. Recently, my whole world flipped on its side and inside out, and I didn't know how to react. I still don't. I just take it one day at a time and find comfort in knowing that God knows what is best for me. Each day has been a battle of its own. What do I do when everything changes: scream, cry, bang on a doorframe, feel the anguish, pray for hours, ask for guidance, get angry every now and again...WHILE ALSO giving praise. This life is never going to go perfectly or according to your plan. It's never about your plan. It is always about what God has in store for you and trying to follow in His footsteps...it's about how He is going to move mountains and lift you out of the valleys. It's all about how God is going to use you for His glory. He won't ever let your story go to waste--He wrote it after all. Remember, you may be a flower in the valley, but God is holding the watering can from the mountaintop. And one day, He'll make your stem grow so tall that you'll reach the top of the mountain...and then you'll get to share about how God got you there.

Amen and amen,

From a woman whose life is drastically changing
