About Me: Blog Introduction

Hi everyone! My name is Lauren Williams and welcome to my blog! I have a love for writing, and I have A LOT to share. This first post is just a little bit about me, who I am, what I like, and what I do. First off, I am a senior at the University of Central Oklahoma, and I am majoring in Psychology. I am graduating next May of 2024. I started off college in 2019, took a small break (which you will learn about in my blog because the break was definitely a struggle that led to success), and then got right back to it! We have 4 lovely animals in our home. Crusty and Clementine are our two cats, Domino is our dog, and we also have a parakeet named Eagle. We like to call her Miss Eagle. Speaking of "we"... I am engaged to my lovely fiancé, Sam Mains, and we are getting married on December 29th! We have been together for six years. We are high school sweethearts. Some of my favorite hobbies include reading, writing, being outside, camping, and trying/exploring new things! Another big part of my life is that I am the intern at the UCO Wesley. The UCO Wesley is the Methodist Ministry that is associated with UCO. I have the biggest blessing of working with students and teaching them about Jesus! The students have become a huge part of my life, and I have loved becoming great friends with each of them. Time has really flown by, and I am trying to take things one day at a time. Now changing gears to what this blog is all about--my life has been full of struggles. Many times I have wondered what God was doing behind the scenes. I wondered if things would ever get better. This blog is all about my struggles in life that have in turn led to my success story. I continue to have everyday struggles that I will share, but now I have God as my source of optimism and success! This blog is meant to reach anyone and everyone who needs a source of encouragement. I know how hard life can be and I know what it is like to wonder if God is even listening. I still wonder and question sometimes, and that is okay! So welcome to my blog about my struggles that God has turned into something so beautifully divine!
With all my love,
Lauren
