Isn't it Beautiful--The Way We Fall Apart

Me in a shark blanket

Have you been hurt before? I'm not talking about physically--but emotionally and mentally...the kind where it hits your soul so deep that you can't understand it? Well, that is me at the moment. I literally fell apart at work the other day because I had so much emotional baggage that I couldn't smile away anymore. I heard this song today called "We Fall Apart". It is a really moving Christian song. There is something so spiritual about crumbling into an emotional puddle before the Lord. God keeps count of our every tear, and He understands EXACTLY how we feel. That is comforting...to know that the King of Kings knows what we are trying to say, even if tears replace the words you can't seem to find. God's cool like that. He cares for His children and gives us so many promises as comfort. His Word is the most important advice and comfort you will ever need. There is something so spiritually filling and beautiful from falling apart, crying, with snot everywhere, words going awry, and looking to Him as your source of comfort and understanding. It's not even embarrassing like it was at work (in front of the owner of the company). Here is something I am learning. There are so many things outside of my control. People have hurt me recently (and in the past). People can be passive-aggressive on social media or straight to your face. People will give you empty promises. Important people in your life will hurt you even though you used to have the highest thoughts of them. But God...God NEVER hurts you. He understands your worldly hurt because His Son Jesus experienced it. He GETS IT like no one else will. Turn to Him for comfort, and you will experience His love. It is so incredibly beautiful the way we fall apart. So, take the time today to scream, cry, question, and crumble in front of the Lord. He gets you like no one else will.

You are so incredibly loved,

Lauren
