Trusting God in Uncertain Times

 

Hello everyone. I hope you have had a blessed new year so far. I am gonna jump right into what I want to talk about today! God has always been so good, and His plan is so much better than our own. There are a lot of things we can control in this life, like what to eat and where to go to college (or if you even want to go to college)! But, God is sovereign over everything in our life. He is very good at opening and closing doors, and His timing in doing so is perfect. I want to discuss my husband's job today. For a few months, if not more, he has been struggling. The owner and higher-ups have not been very kind or Godly. This is supposed to be a Christ-centered company, yet it is far from that. The amount of bullying and taunting is shocking. The lack of respect is real. There are workers around his age who make each day a bit easier, but the big guys are where it is hitting the hardest. It seems as though they want him to quit. When my husband comes home in a melancholic way, you know something is wrong. My husband is the optimist in the household. And for the last few months, it has been incredibly hard. He is not getting paid a whole lot, and they just use him as an office mouse to do paperwork and IT work. I can not stress to you how bad this environment is for my husband's mental health. So, we have decided to go on the job hunt. Even though we are experiencing a tad bit of stress, we are trusting God and casting our concerns onto Him. We CAN NOT do this alone. The burden is too heavy. I make sure to verbally appreciate my husband each day because he is making incredible sacrifices by staying there until he can find another job. So, a word of encouragement to all my friends out there. God knows your struggle AND understands it. He is going to open and close doors for you. He is sovereign over your life and has MIGHTY plans for you that you couldn't possibly dream of. God is good and He will carry you through your uncertain times.
