How Does Your Faith Turn Your Day Around?

Hi friends! It has been a long but fast few weeks. I have had a lot on my mind. Does your mind ever get jumbled and you can't seem to get the wheels to turn off? That has been me the last several days. I have so much to look forward to, but with that comes worry and a brain that continues to go in circles. Here are a few things that I am looking forward to:

-Our camping trip this weekend

-My Master's program interview next week

-Our Bahamas honeymoon trip

-Graduation

With these exciting moments come stress and worry for me. Will we have enough gas money for our trip? Will Sam like camping? Will I be accepted to this Master's program? Will there be any mishaps while flying out of the country? CAN I GET THIS ASSIGNMENT DONE AND IN A COHERENT WAY SO I CAN FINALLY GRADUATE??

Adulting is so hard yet so rewarding. I have a supportive family, an amazing husband, and down-to-earth friends that make each day just a little bit better. When my mind seems to be going nonstop with a million things it's trying to remember, one thing makes it better...my faith. Am I stressing and worrying about things I know deep down will be okay and will work out--turn on some Christian music. Am I worried about this timeline I have created somehow going awry--I remember that God's plan is perfect and so is His timing. He has never failed throughout generations upon generations, and He won't fail now.

I work at an amazing business called Bondi Bowls. Their story is amazing and working for this company strengthens my faith. I work at this place to serve the Lord and His people. I have never worked in a place where the environment feels so healthy and friendly. I have never worked in a place where they did worship nights and served the community in such a spiritual and sweet way. I feel God's presence each time I work, and I know I am serving Him. He makes this life so fruitful and rewarding. I leave work feeling FULFILLED. I listen to Christian music on my way to work, and it hypes me up so much. I know how present our God is, and even if I am having a rough day where my brain doesn't stop, my faith and God's presence are my foundation. He gets me through and makes hard days easier to bear. I am so blessed to be living the life that I am, and I know God is in control...Knowing this gives me such an amazing amount of comfort. So, if you are struggling with adulting...you are not alone. Know that this life is a gift from God and you are here for a reason. Knowing He is in control should be a great comfort because we simply could not do this life on our own. Surround yourself with supportive family and friends who help you to strengthen your faith and encourage you. Faith and hope can turn your day around in an instant.

All my love,

Lauren Mains <3
