Hi friends! We recently got back from our honeymoon, and it was absolutely fantastic. We spent 7 days together, enjoying each other's company, without a care in the world. Having a trip like this puts things into perspective for you. The things I worry about are so small compared to what God can do for me. This sparked a love for travel for us as well. We want to see as much of God's great creation as we can! We do not take for granted this wonderful opportunity that we had. We went through a trial at the airport which was really stressful, but we got through it together and made it home safe! Having open communication and being able to apologize for how you act in stressful situations is important. We are a team, not on opposite defensive sides. I loved spending time with my husband, learning more about him, and relaxing all day every day! This was our honeymoon 2024; the one where there was a view, shuffleboard games, lots of food and free room service, unlimited diet cokes, and lots of sweet treats. Sam went into a food coma, we befriended Bahamian cats, swam with dolphins, had literally the best food of our lives, caught wild coconuts after a storm, and definitely gained 10 happy pounds. We are forever grateful for this experience and we loved every moment of our travels (except on the way back there was a tropical storm, our flight got delayed over 8 hours, they sold our seats to someone else, had to spend an extra night in the Bahamas, then finally got to come home at 3AM on Monday morning). OVERALL, it was the best trip ever. I wouldn't do it with anyone else and I couldn't have gotten through the stress of the airport without my husband. God is so good. Now we are recharged and ready to get back to work, school, and planning for upcoming (secret) events.
All my love,
